All time favourite topic
« on: August 24, 2016, 16:26:25 PM »
I was using the search facility recently to find something someone had posted on here a while back. The search results threw up some topics going back to 2004 and curiousity got the better of me.  Over an hour later I finally got the bit of info I was after  :)

My god Lance could make a statue laugh with some of his posts, RIP fella.  Hot prawns anyone?

Then we have Linda1953.  If you're looking for a real "doom and gloomer" then she's your gal  :)

Who can forget the bear though?  An outstanding example of why strong drink should only be taken in moderation...

I haven't quite worked out my favourite yet, still trying to decide if it's the bear on the beach or Linda1953's many posts educating us all about living in Istanbul.  Or her "Headbutt" topic.  Or anything involving Gary Carr  :)

What's yours?

JF

Will have to think about that one John.   :-\

Could certainly be that one of Lance's is in there somewhere.  He's certainly been missed around here   :)

My all time favourite was one from Tinks.
The dirty (bitch) beach poem was classic

The bear in the hut and the giant wave was wonderful. But that was a quote from the Mirror, so I'm not sure it should count. I'll have to think about an original from a CBF member.

A staggering achievement and one CBF and it's founder can be rightly proud of.

The photos are very special.

Sadly I can't find the "this is what happiness sounds like" post.

Maybe not my favourite post but definitely my favourite Lance post - you could picture Lance's pain and share his frustration while admiring his ability to laugh at himself and his adventures.

A huge loss to Fethiye & CBF.
