Patara beach....
Combine it with an overnight stay in one of the small pensions in Patara village. It's a different world!    :)
Absolutely! At about 11 miles long you won't be short of somewhere to put your towel down and if it's climbing over ancients sites is your thing there's plenty of that there too. Have a look at this article from The Telegraph last year....

It is lovely kayakebab and one night wouldn't be enough for us, but for a taster it's fine.  We discovered Patara years ago when we booked a week there, knowing nothing about the place.  But we loved it.  Have since been back a few times, from Calis, for 2 or 3 nights. Would definitely stay in one of the smaller pensions though rather than the bigger hotels, they tend to be nearer the centre of the village.

Another for the list. Thank you. Dont remember really seeing a village. The ruins near the beach are impressive.
