Local Supermarket!

Hi Everyone. We arrive Tuesday afternoon  The usual first point of call is Migros in Fethiye to stock up! Items usually consist of salad, fruit, cheese, butter, yogurt, cereal, drinks, cleaning stuff etc etc. Is there anywhere more local to be able to get all of this without having to jump on a dolmus as soon as we arrive! Always found Migros to be good quality and reasonably priced. We're going to be located according to the directions given 'up the Gunlakabasi Road, turn left at Ayden Pide, go over the humped back bridge and turn left before the cemetery? haven't stayed this end before and not been out for 4 years so please any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks so much.

I am wondering if Kipa opposite the courts in Calis or even the smaller Migros close to it, would be easier for you.

Great thank you, will check it out. I think if I remember correctly that particular Migros was being built the last time we were out!

There is a little market that we use.  From the cemetery go straight ahead, Passing three new houses, you will see the sign to the market.  Go right down the road and at the bottom on the right,  by the Canal is the Market. The guy who has it is really nice and will always give you a piece of fruit or some free sample.  He lives in the house opposite, so he is open early for bread etc.,  and he closes around 9.00pm.  My husband went down for some tomatoes and a lettuce.  The owner gave my husband the tomatoes and then told him to wait.  He crossed the road to his house, went into the garden, cut a lettuce and came back and gave it to my husband, there was no charge, a free lettuce and it was lovely.  It is not a huge place but he has all the basics and plus a freezer for ice cream etc.,

So still some lovely genuine people here. Think one of the reasons lots, if not all,of us came back after the first visit years ago.

There are quite a few supermarkets on Gunlukbasi Road.  No need to go to Fethyie at all really
