Whatever you do, don't let them pack it for you in the shop. That's when the switch happens.

The reputable sellers will pack it in front of you, simply to avoid any suspicion.

I know a guy in Istanbul who exports rugs and kilims worldwide, according to him some of stuff the less trustworthy places get up to is simply criminal.

Dont worry KKOB i will stand there and watch them wrap my rug, its just one of the little rug shops in Fethiye not a big rug store so should net be a problem, i will. Take it with me on dolmus rather than they deliver it as they said they would, am even thunking of takimg a turkish friend with me to get it all sorted properly if we do decide to buy

Can you add hold luggage onto your booking it would be cheaper than paying at airport
