Welcome to the Forum Sharron!  So you have been bitten by the Calis bug too :)! What was it you liked so much about the 1st time-let us know!  Have a good second holiday and enjoy the Forum.  You'll make many friends very quickly here.  Where did you stay the first time?

My first time in Calis was September 2002! We stayed at the Istanbul Apartments they were nice, clean, nice pool. The down side was it was really quiet and the bar shut at 20.00 regardless if you wanted a drink or not! This time we are staying at the Ten apartments. I love Calis, stayed in 1997 in Mamaris, enjoyed it but it felt like the turkish version of Benidorm! Is the "turtle man" still running his bar? We had some laughs there even though the toilets were awful! Oh well you can't have it all :D 8)

Welcome Sharron

Good to hear that your'e making the return visit. Happens to us all I'm afraid.

You arrive the day after us. When you mention the 'turtle man' do you mean Ali's ark?

Anyway ,have a great time  :)

I can't remember the name!! It was a couple of days before I pluked up the courage to enter it looked weird! He was a really friendly guy, brill english, beard and the toilets and shower (he lived there!) were outside! :)

I think it probably is, did he have a big tent type building (I know there's a name for it )there? Was it on the front? If so I 'd guess it's him

Yes he's still there. (Least he was in June)

Funnily enough he has a house a 5 second walk from our apt. It's like old Macdonalds farm  :)
