Booking as a package holiday
« on: April 28, 2017, 13:58:45 PM »
Hi all
So we cannot stay in our apartment as we have people there.  We want to come over in August regardless as want to sort a few things out so am thinking of going down the hotel route.  I genuinely cannot remember the last time I booked a package deal and just wondered if people find them a cheaper way to do it or should I look at flights and then book a hotel direct.  Thinking of the Golden Moon possibly.

I have only just started to look and it may be that I will not get such a good deal now as it is only four months away but would be good to know your thoughts.  Many thanks B x

I receive e.mails from Alice @dealchecker..Holidays on there to Turkey are cheaper than the flights... Just ditch the hotel and book at The Kaan. £66 for a week..

Try it both ways, booking a package or a flight and hotel separately and see what comes out the best.

Thank you - Jacqui and Mercury will take a look.  I think the last time I booked a package holiday was in the 90s thumbing through the catalogues!

Or book a package deal and on arrival at the airport tell the rep you won't be using the hotel. Then stay wherever you like.

Sometimes a package works out cheaper than hotel and flights plus transfers, E G  for  this year a 2 week package at our hotel  works out for the same split deal @ £1. 033 p total for 2 persons.  by  booking flights transfer and flights @£657 .05 p a big save for us , prices do go up and down all the time,, a email I had last week from sunshine uk have some very good packages better than most around. airflights web site have some very keen flight only prices from several airports, some very good small  hotel only prices are as low as £15 per room B/B can be found on lots of web sites eg Kann hotel  yucel hotel  tugay hotel
