Hello, have been reading CB Forum for some time. Decided it was time to join in. We have a place in Fethiye (1st Karagozler)and we are slowly furnishing it etc. with a view to moving out in the new year. The various topics regarding shops,sites and yourselves have been informative and amusing keep it going.

And congratulations from me as well, we are still buying odds and ends a year later as it was quite a novelty furnishing from absolutely empty. I don't think I will win any changing room prizes though and I have even started chucking some of the first bits I bought.

It is fun though because for some reason it is so much better in the sun although I think the specs have gained a slightly rosy tint since the first big shop to get big essentials.

welcome to the Forum.

Furnishing is definately fun. We bought last year and I spent most of last Sept holiday arriving on the back of various little trucks with bits and pieces of furniture. We have got to the point though now that we can't get anything else into our little place and like Teresa we will have to start throwing stuff out if we try.
It's great fun though so enjoy!

You lucky thing - we have still at least 3 years of work before we can even think of packing it all in and retiring to Calis. Still, its all there to look forward to!
Hey Jukebox - as there are so many people moving out there, someone might start up the great British tradition of a Car Boot Sale (without cars I suppose as a lot of people don't have cars - but you know what I mean) and then we could all buy each others excess stuff instead of throwing it out!!
