Welcome to the Forum Carolyn

Leasehold has been discussed a number of times in the past and comes with some heavy warnings.

See: {A Link to an old CBF topic was here - no longer available}4401&SearchTerms=leasehold

Whatever you decide to do, good luck and let us know how you get on

Steve

Hi carolyn

Welcome to the forum.  It sounds as though your time on this forum has already been well spent!  Good luck with your property search and don't be put off.  We bought last year and have had no worries and have not looked back.  You will find lots of info on here to help you find a reputable agent/developer and there is a search facility at the top which will help.

lindi :)

Hi Carolyn,
We are purchasing a property through Infinity - Green Valley.  We are experiencing a few problems - but to be fair they are trying to sort this out for us.  They are having problems sorting out our Tapu - but this is not their fault.  This apparently is a problem that the government have caused through putting a hold on all Tapus which involve 'foreign purchasers'.   This I have been told about by people who have nothing to do with Infinity.   The company has been going for some time - and they are reputable.   We have colleagues who have already purchased at Green Valley - and they too have put a deposit on Palm Beach.  Green Valley by the way is Freehold!!!  Please do not be put off by Infinity - but you may be right to steer clear from leasehold property in whatever country!  Even the UK.
Good luck in whateve you decide to do.
Carole

Who is the builder? Palm Beach is both NOT leasehold and NOT 50 yards from the beach.

Several members have bought on Palm Beach and it is a lovely complex, but leasehold and Turkey do not normally come together.
