Have received this morning a text from my mobile phone company saying (I think with my limited Turkish ) that I must pay 5YTL or have the equivalent credits deducted from my phone. This is with Starcep. I will later post the exact message so maybe our Turkish Friends on the Forum can confirm or otherwise. :)

looks like the bun fight is on again... i got my turkish mrs to look up the turkecell website  just now and it appears once again we have till dec13th to go and register unregistered mobiles , method by going into a turkcell shop and paying 5ytl....so will go there tommorow!!
tiring isint it??and confusing!! will let you know the outcome...

right.... i registered my phone today at the zaman turkcell phone shop in fethiye opposite the school down from the ptt...cost 5ytl apparently you have till the 13th dec to do it and there were long queues there so had to wait. this was the only shop i was aware of doing this for turkcell customers, telsim where doing it elsewhere.
thats it folks.. what will happen to people that have registered i dont know

Thanks for that Stuart....at least the system seems to be in place now.  Will try to do mine tonight if they are still open when I go out or maybe Monday. :)

If you by Kontors Turkcell will automatically deduct 50 Kontors. Unless you tell them otherwise.

We are now waiting to see what happens to ours.
