Hi Loftyj, welcome to the forum. Although your apartment is in Icmeler I hope you continue to enjoy Turkey and good luck with your permanent move in two years.

Hi Loftyj, welcome to the forum, went to Icmeler before i found Calis but never even thought about buying there, but never met anyone there who talked me into it, but thinking about it now it would have been top of my list if my workmate hadn't invited me over to Calis for a drink when we stayed in Ovacik, is it still as small as it was 8yrs ago.Alan

Hi Number2  Icmeler is growing but still small compared to its neighbour Marmaris, my appartment is in the old town which i love as it is a 10min stroll back into main resort but nice and quite for when i want to sleep, and being in the village you get to know the locals which is what its all about for me and they are so friendly and helpful.

Hi Julie.(Loftyj)
Welcome to the forum.
Love Icmeler, must visit sometime again.  Thought they were quite expensive properties there though and bordering against Turkeys premier resort, Marmaris means plenty of partying...LOL
The old town must be a very nice place to live, congratulations on your purchase.

Hi Julie

I went to Icmeler about 16 years ago and there was virtually nothing there apart from a great beach.  Bet its a really great place now.

Hi Loftyj
Welcome to the forum.Icemeler certainly appealled to us we have been  there four times. The first visit was 10 years ago and last in 2004.Calis reminds us of Icemeler but on a smaller scale. We walked into Marmaris oneday but preffer less crowded resorts. We stayed at the hotel Alvaro.
Good Luck with your plans  Badger 8)
