Intasure, Safe and Securiy Bars don't Work !

As a post script, went out with Bill & Jen (the victims) for dinner last night, they have asked me to thank each and every on of you for your thoughts, support and offers of help.

During Dinner Jen said " I can't understand why they stole a counterpane from one of the beds?"

Marble floor, heavy safe, big blanket! Immediately I got why there were no scuff marks on the marble floor. I wonder how many new safes are delivered in a similar fashion?

Anyway B&J and their boys ended up having a great time, their insurance looks like they will get back 100% of the loss, and although I had been critical of Intasure at beginning of this topic, so far they have been really good. I will let you know how it goes with them when it comes to paying the bill and post a full review on completion.

As for now, we are right back on track and can draw a line under this unfortunate episode.

Hi Rimms, lovely to hear you all sounding a lot more positive about things, it does help  when the insurance companies etc cooperate, it's all behind you now, glad to hear you're not letting the scum get the better of you.

My place was burgled.  I had a 'three man safe' ie three men to lift it.  They used crow bars to bend the frame where the shoot bolts enter - The door was hardly damaged but the frame was well bent.  I would agree with the comments that you should find hidey holes for your stuff.  I'm toying with an idea of buying a cheap lockable security box which if we get burglad again hopefully the thieves will leg it with it under their arms only to find that its empty

Yes I did, to be fair it was after midnight on a Saturday night when I was trying to contact them and I was quite upset considering what had gone on and I did get through to them eventually that night. They have been very good so far and I can confirm that they have a local agent in Fethiye, he went and took pictures of the damage and sent them through to Intasure. They have agreed to let my mamangement company appoint the trades people to carry out repairs, replace safe and locks etc. they were also able to appoint their own contractors. I will let you know after final invoice is sent in and how things go, but so far, so good.
