My name is Mike
My wife and I have just made our 10th. trip to Turkey.
We have been to quite a few different places over the years, but we both love Olu Deniz and the Fethiye area, so this year, we tried Calis.  When I get the hang of this, I will post some of our pictures from Calis and our trips out.

Welcome to the forum Mike. Where else have you been in Turkey other than Fethiye/Calis. Bet you've seen some changes over the course of 10 years holidaying here!

We started in Marmaris, I can't remember when, there was 10,000 TL to the pound. We have been to Bodrum,Altinkum,Olu Deniz(twice) Alanya,Kemer,Kusadasi,Turgutries and now Calis. Yes,we have seen some changes, but the Turkish people are still the same. Also, we have made many friends with people who were on holiday as well.

Olu Deniz. Nice size place, always hot the scenery is lovely and as usual, so are the people.
Alanya. Quite a big town. with Cleopatra beach and another small beach that I can't remember the name of.
Turgutries. Very small and windy, but easy to travel to Bodrum,Gumbet or Torba.
The one thing we like is to travel about,so we do quite a lot of trips. We have been to some very nice places.
Next year, we are going to America for the first time, but the year after,we are going to try Belek.
The hottest place, was Olu Deniz. We were there a few years ago when the hottest day in 200 years was matched. It reached 55 degrees C. I think on the second week that we were there, it never dropped below 50 in the middle of the day.
When we went to Australia, we were expecting the same sort of heat, but it was not a patch on Turkey.
