Brian Clough.  Most of his goals were scored in the old second division and he got crocked before he had a real chance to shine in the first.

With respect Keith, the caption was " Players Who Had a Huge Future - Then Didn't". With his scoring record behind him, Brian could have had a huge future in the first division if he hadn't had his serious injury.
