No, I don't think it was reported as two different incidents, how on earth would SOA come into contact with each of these two people independently and on the same day? Otherwise he would have reported the alleged beatings as two separate incidents.

He also tried to portray this as an act of random violence on two innocent women when in fact it was a very regrettable, but not uncommon occurrence of domestic violence, the sort of thing that will probably happen in your street tonight and not exclusive to Calis.

From memory he did say the incident was that 2 people were beat up in the same incident!!!..facts not correct I guess?...or fact not being fact....

i never got chance to read spirits first blog,, however what i know he will have been trying to convey is that 1,i was assaulted very badly on my front doorstep by my then partner.
and 2, that another lady who,s partner also works in the same bar has been regularly assaulted and hospitalized in esnaf as a result.
spirits knows the bar and the people in it. and quite understandibly finds it a bit disturbing that this could be happening under peoples noses. and that the men involved are not affected in any way or held accountable. as in most cases of domestic/relationship violence the hurt party is too terrified to do anything about it... especially in a country where the men look the other way and literally protect each other. the moral of the story...ladies be very carefull in choosing a partner out here as the cultural differences and what is expected of you is very different to what we are used to in the uk in some cases.
if it happens once that is once too often... GET OUT!

I did meet Simon and Monica a couple of times, (spiritofadventure) while I know some of his posts come across as negative and with hearsay, I was surprised to hear about the abusive emails he sent to Keith. I thought he was the most laid back person I had met.(I also thought Ronaldo was he best player in the world and I was proved wrong again it is Rooney)
