REALLY interesting! Thanks for posting your reply. As I said, the guy I spoke to really was obnoxious!
We were worried that, as we had only paid just over £200 each for the flight, some flights were now almost £500! Along with the "£50 admin fee", this could have been a possible charge of up to £350 just to change the name on the ticket!

This obscene charge was what put us off changing the flight - we desperately needed another seat for our 14 year old, but they wouldn't take a "separate" booking (despite us both being on the same flight!!) for a child. Our only other alternative was to change one of our flights into her name, and re-book another seat in either my or my husband's name.
As the quote for the name-change was so expensive (and he wouldn't give us an EXACT cost!), we have had to make other arrangements! Our daughter now has to stay home! Flights out of Birmingham would have been better for us too!!
Apart from the cost, he told us that we would have to put the name change in writing by 7th October at the latest (that's 17 days before the flight, not 14 as you were told!!)
Seems that Onur Air need to sort out some of their non customer-friendly staff.
