Ticket For Sale From Birmingham 25th Oct

My oldest son has decided he would rather not come on holiday with us so I have a return ticket for sale for school half term week.

Onur Air 25th Oct
Leaves Birmingham at 18:10 arrives Dalaman at 00:10

Going Back 1st Nov
Leaves Dalaman at 14:45 arrives at Birmingham at 17:10

No sure what the Aegean charges are to transfer names but will find out tomorrow.  Anyone interested contact me via profile and send me an offer. Willing to take anything really as I will lose otherwise. Whoever offers me best price over next 7 days can have the ticket.

We tried to change the name on an Onur Air flight for 24th October out of Manchester, and were told that the name change had to be received in writing by 7th October at the latest, so keep an eye on that one!  

The cost - £50 admin fee, plus the difference in cost from when we bought the ticket to what it would cost now!    We bought them months ago at a very cheap price, so bound to be a lot more expensive now!

May be worth you giving them a quick ring to find out the cost of transferring a name.  (The guy I spoke to was an obnoxious git, and obviously didn't want to do it - so you may be lucky and be quoted a more sensible amount!   )

Oooooh, that is REALLY interesting!  Thanks for posting your reply.  As I said, the guy I spoke to really was obnoxious!

We were worried that, as we had only paid just over £200 each for the flight, some flights were now almost £500!  Along with the "£50 admin fee", this could have been a possible charge of up to £350 just to change the name on the ticket!  

This obscene charge was what put us off changing the flight - we desperately needed another seat for our 14 year old, but they wouldn't take a "separate" booking (despite us both being on the same flight!!) for a child.  Our only other alternative was to change one of our flights into her name, and re-book another seat in either my or my husband's name.

As the quote for the name-change was so expensive (and he wouldn't give us an EXACT cost!), we have had to make other arrangements!  Our daughter now has to stay home!  Flights out of Birmingham would have been better for us too!!

Apart from the cost, he told us that we would have to put the name change in writing by 7th October at the latest (that's 17 days before the flight, not 14 as you were told!!)

Seems that Onur Air need to sort out some of their non customer-friendly staff.

Our flights out of Bristol for 24th October were cancelled in August by Onur Air.  We were then offered the same flight that you are on out of Birmingham.  They then cancelled that (the flight was full, apparently).  They offered us flights out of Gatwick, which we couldn't accept as we will both be in work the day of departure.  As a last resort, they offered us flights out of Manchester - a 165 mile drive each way from South Wales!  We accepted these, rather than miss out on our last holiday of the year to Calis.

Good old Onur Air!!

Hi Julie. They also told me the following today: if you are just making a name change it is a standard charge of £20.00 per name change, if you want to change dates etc then different charges are included, but for a straight name change it is £20.00 per name.

That really is SO annoying!    (Not for you though, lol)  

Oh well, nothing we can do about it now - the flights are all sold, and, (what a shame   ) we have to have a holiday without the kids, as originally planned!
