Never seen it as bad as this here, took the pictures this morning and it has continued snowing heavily all day, we are now more than 8 inches deep.

Yeah, But that must be a doddle to you hardy types up there, I hear 8" is nothing to the average Scotts Man !!

Seriously, it has brought our area to a complete standstill today and I was due to drive to London this afternoon, as things stand I can't even get the car off rthe drive.

Only small flurries here today but same as Scunner still have the original snow from Christmas.

As I said Laffa, sick of the sight of it now.:(.

Have meeting with people from Devon and Bristol on Thursday - don't think they will be moving very far though.

Do any members have local knowledge of conditions there just now.

It's on it's way to you Lorraine, with up to 40cm (16") to arrive within the next 24 hours.

To top off a really bad weather day, I reckon that I sustained the most unlucky snow related injury, ever.

While using a pole to dislodge snow from my sky dish which had stopped receiving the signal, a kid lobbed a snowball at me from the other side of the road, this innocent looking object was like a compressed block of ice that struck me directly on the calf muscle at the back of my leg.

After being unable to walk for most of the day, I am now sat here now wearing an ice cube compress. I could strangle the little bleeder who threw it but have no idea who it was.

Unlucky or what !
