Just thought I d share what is probably a middle aged ,Top Gear watching bloke thing but have just got a turntable for the first time in years and dsuted off the vinyl in the loft.
My taste is more eclectic than I thought but have spent most of today listening to Bobby Darins greates,The Wall by Pink Floyd,Stevie Wonders songs in the key of life,Joe Cocker Stingray and as I write the briliant Elvis Costellos King of America.I was about to transfer them to MP3 and clean them up but something just tells me that they are better as they are,the wya they were meant to be,the sound that gives you nostalgia.I recenlty got the Beatles collection of digitally remastered clean up stuff but hae put it to one side in favour of the tinny, sctrachy crackly excellent original recordings.
I intend to listen to all ofmy records again then I will start on cassette tapes !
If anyone is interested I will keep posting what I have been listening to and maybe swap thoughts on music as its one of my most favourite things in life.
