You are quite right, what's going on there ?, fortunately the Deliktas version of Penrhys is hidden from our view but I can't help wondering every time I pass it walking down the hill, will they ever be sold ?, they'll probably use it for community housing like the pink ones to the left.

I'd be interested to know if anyone can shed any light on this development ?, history, motive for build, anyone moved in yet ?.

Looked at updated google earth map and you can see what an eyesore they really are !

Question is are you refering to Deliktas as a whole or the white places on the hill? I wouldn't call them an eyesore. Lots of them have been sold but I think there were some issues with the parent company and I think there was talk of bankruptcy. They certainly have had to drop the prices quite a bit from when they initially went on sale - I am not sure that they will be used for community houses there are still plenty of the pink ones left.

Yes, I'm really talking about the complex on the hill, not Deliktas in general (which we love dearly !), and perhaps eyesore is a bit strong but it just seems to be such a very large development on that particular hillside !!, that said they are also building quite a few apartments which are being carved out of the hillside in Tasyaka.

The 'pink' ones are Belediye houses, the other development is called Hillview. I have heard many stories concerning the building of them but I don't know how true they are. Interestingly enough although some of us know them they are not well known and no good as a guide for how to get to Deliktas - even delivery drivers have no idea where or what Hillview is.
Last night coming home about 8pm i looked over and saw lights on in one of the very top back houses. I don't know if it has been sold and is occupied or if it is occupied illegally or if the lights just 'happened' to be on! Will ask around and see if I come up with any info.
Having said that the weather had turned nice I was repaid by 2 horrible wet, windy and cold days! Rose was fascinated by the hail stones!

Must be very lonely for them if someone is living there !

Is the feature to the right of the development a) a very small funicular or b) a very big Stenna stairlift ?

The only thing I've heard about Hillview is that 3 have been sold and the remaining ones are now in the hands of the bank - don't know how true it is.....
