Hi,
We were in Calis a couple of weeks ago and when on the beach a dolphin came quite close in up by the Sat beach club.  The dolphin was in the sea free to swim around with no restrictions!!!!!!! that is where dolphins should be not in a pool trapped just for some mindless people's financial gain.

returning tourists from Hisaronu, are telling of a booth in the middle of the town(opposite the mosque)where the people working on the dolphin stand, are even crossing the road to aproach tourists,as they walk by,to offer them the chance to swim with the dolphins, waving leaflets at them.ARE THEY ALLOWED TO DO THIS?Whenever ive visited, shopkeepers were not allowed to cross over from their doorstep,to entice custom, many times i heard jandarma over the tannoy, telling shopkeepers to get back inside,or they would revoke their licences, please can anyone on here advise me,is this rule still in practice?if it is,who would be the best person to contact?thank you.

Suki
The people that work in the office indeed do not support the dolphins being in captivity. However they are employees and not the owners of Andifli. I have spoken with them about this and I still feel that Andifli should not be put down as a company that supports what we are doing because they are renting a car to Heidi Pederson knowing that she is ferrying people to Hisaronu from Kaş in one of their rentals.
Just my opinion :-)

Had a VERY nice CHAT tonight with Ali from ACE travel in Calis!  HE WILL NOT SELL ANYBODY A TICKET, HE EVEN TRIED TO GIVE ME A LECTURE!!
I was in the right place at the right timr!!  The managers from SEASIDE and FOCUS travel were also there.  I just went in to Ace for a recce and asked for a quote for 6 people 2 of which were kids for a trip.  He gave me a very good price and that is when the subject was broached.  There was banter as is usual and the manager for Focus got involved!  They were the company who were willing to charge £100 for a swim!  Anyway, said 'Thank you very much I will think about it', sat over in Dawn Beach and just watched.  Lots of arms and legs moving, left it an hour or so and went back, gave Ali in front of everybody a piece of paper which just had the facebook page for 'Free the Olu Deniz dolphins' on, underneath was written 19,000 members.  They stood there and panic did set in.  Focus manager got really annoyed as to why everybody was blaming him personally!  Ali was great.  He had tried to explain it was not personal.  In between my visits there had been a very long conversation!  It was not for my benefit and both Ali and the man from Seaside (I'm sorry I am not good on names) who he told me he has a bought a t-shirt to help the funds turned on Focus!  Upshot is the owner of Focus travel in Hisaronou has told him he must sell the tickets!  The owner of Focus travel does know that people are at great risk of catching a 'Life-long' disease BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Thats what he says!!  Very placid conversation, sort of and everybody admitted the boycott is working and that it is the majority of visitors to the 'Hellhole' are Turkish.  A dolphin in turkish history is like Joseph in the English bible all Turks want to 'Touch' one.
They did give each other a lot of information between themselves in Turkish!  They tried to say it was all the Russian's fault, when informed he had gone and it was the Turks looking after them and it was their fault, one did say 'She is right'!  Then they all admitted it was the fault of the mayor!  They were giving me the info!!  Not very nice info tho'!!!
