We are watching this in France so it is going out worldwide on satellite TV.

So the pool is not only full of disease giving bacteria it is structurally unsafe!

What a great advert for Hisaronu and Turkey!

Where is the Russian now? Maybe Hamish trusted his judgement too much.

During the programme they interviewed this idiot who went swimming with the dolphins and he is now going to have a health check because he is worried that he might have caught something. His parting words well the pool is not even as big as the one at our complex. It just highlighted the type of idiots who will pay good money to line someones pocket and cause suffering to besutiful creatures.

Yes, Hamish McTurk did confirm to me that he invested in the building of this dolphinarium. I pleaded with him in May to pull out for the sake of his business and the well being of the dolphins.

However misguided they were the Turks like Hamish in the beginning did not believe that they were doing anything wrong. Quoting Hamish in that there are many dolphinariums throughout the world why not one in the Fethiye area. Also they were selling trips to Kas and little fuss was being made. Yes, all they saw was GBP signs. The problem now of course that the money they have invested is dead money and they are not likely to recover it. We are now in mid August and the adventure should be bringing the cash in hand over fist but it is not. It was obvious from the TV tonight that the war is lost and how can they get out of it with the minimum of losses.

The people that should take most of the responsibility for this utter shambles is not the hamish McTurks of this world it is the authorities. Starting from Yilmaz all the way up to the Turkish government. Their intervention could have put a stop to this a long time ago. The first question that my friends asked what were the authorities doing. The authorities do not know how much long term damage they have done to the tourist industry in the Fethiye area. The one thing besides the pool that utterly disgusted my friends was the photo and commentary on how the dolphins were brought to the pool.

So well done to all those people who so far have worked so hard to get the worlds attention on these poor creatures and lets hope that they are in a safe refuge very soon and eventually released to roam the waters of the Med.
