Not sure if this is old news, the News of the World did run an article on this on Sunday, the angle they used was the growing oppostion to it and the response of responsible Toursit Companies.

Well done to all involved, the word is spreading no matter what you think of the News of the World!!

OOps Sorry Guys, it was Sunday Mirror, much more sophisticated! (pg 27 on the 11/4/10)

It read as folows:-

HOLS FIRMS IN DOLPHIN SWIM" BAN

Travel firms are boycotting a new "swim with the dolphins" attraction at a popular Turkish resort.
Experts say a pool-due to open for the summer in Oludeniz near Dalaman-is far too cramped.
And more than 2,000 people have signed an online petition against it.
Now Thomas Cook and Holiday4U are refusing to sell package holidays deals including trips to the dolphins.
Holidays4U boss Karen Vyse said "Its much too small". Thomas Cook added " It is below standards."
The Russian backed firm behind the venture insist conditions will be humane. But the UK based Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society said
keeping large animals in small tanks is no longer acceptable.

This might not be as forceful as we all would like but from little accorns and all that.

Keep up the pressure guys.[:(!]

If you look at the electricity pole just beyond the far side of the pit it will give you some idea of the miniscule size the pool actually is

Spoke to a Turkish guy yesterday who runs a business less than 200 meters as the crow flies from the site.... who did not even know it was there!!!!
He also told me that the new precinct where the Fairground is is nothing to to do with Nicholas Homes any more....it has been sold on to a consortium.
