Just returned from a month in Turkey and could not leave without going to Hisaronu after reading about them in the land of lights, that one was maybe not all that great. We found the park and saw a man / bouncer sat outside, I pleaded ignorant to having any knowledge about the whole sorry affair, I said to the man there are really two live dolphins in there to which he replied with some caution first of all yes there are would you like to swim with them I said oh I am not a good swimmer so no I am too scared he said £50 each to swim I have life jackets you can do it for 100 lira for two of you, I said no I am too scared he said come on (at this point he had let his guard down I had already said to husband I am going to act like a dumb blonde no change there then he said!)the man said oh come on I have six year old children that swim with them I still said no but could I go into the (very trashy may I add) park and just take a look at the dolphins and maybe take some pictures for my son he said no pictures allowed but for 15 lira we could go in and have a look, i was desparate to have a look at Micha and Tom but could not line his pockets with even one lira, so we left but went to the side where the stuff on the fence has been pulled down I stayed for about 30 mins and in that time I saw one dolphin every two or three minutes just bob out of the water disappear and then bob again no sign of the other one at all. The whole place was deserted not a soul in sight place looked a shambles and even more so after seeing it with my own eyes this place needs to be closed. We had spoke to several booking agents for trips who were very vemenet in there disgust for the place but unfortunately I left their leaflets in our apartment so can not remember who they were, unlike a worker for Hamish McTurk who practically chased me off the prom one evening after enquiring about booking several trips and then asking do you do dolphin swim "oh yes you can swim with dolphins" to which I replied sorry I will have to book my trips elsewhere, he was really shouting at me it is not your country you can not come here and tell me what to do I do not want to talk to you go away just go away dont know what passers by made of it all, but gave me some satisfaction. Hope Micha and Tom get set free really soon it is even more upsetting to see the place for real and to know they are in that hell hole.
