If I were to avoid every shop, bar, restauarant establishment that somebody had a beef about I wouldnt be able to go out.

Obviously I have every sympathy for anyone who has money stolen from them.

Wer'e not talking a couple of quid in a shop here and how many times do you get threatened when you go into a shop or restaurant. This isn't A beef. It's hers and her familys life ruined.

i try to give un bias posts and some humour ;) on this site and also try to point new wallets in the right direction, i own a company in Turkey and have been trading in cloth and granite,(kitchen work tops for the wives that eat out) on a monthly basis for about 15 years now, i have made good money and i have been quite lucky with the genuine Turkish people i have met and deal with, but this scum bag is a wrong un, i really do not wan't to go into the in's and out's on an open forum, but this lady fell in love with Turkey like we all did :o and this scum bag ripped her off, its up to you new wallets if you think a lepper changes its spots (excuse my spelling)i hope you enjoy your meals at the his establishment, thanks Elaina for your honest and genuine post ;) if they only new half of it,[:(!] TC hun xx  :)

Sympathy is OK, Saoirse, support is better.

Definition of Fraud
'criminal deception, the use of false representation to gain an unjust advantage, a dishonest artifice or trick'

That,to me, amounts to stealing.: :)

This has been a long, hard, stressful battle for Elaina, two and half, three years of trying to get her money back through the Courts.  AliBaba doesn't even turn up to the hearings.

Just hope that any lady who goes to the restaurant by herself has read this forum and doesn't get sucked in by him.  Slicker than an oil spill

Mercury the answer is if i am in Uzumlu, which is not very often i will certainly eat there again, i read the comment regarding the lady losing her money and believe it or not i feel for her but i dont know her, i take people the way i find them and i was well impressed with the Ayla and its staff, to be honest Mercury it really is none of your business where i choose to eat or not eat and i am not open to emotional blackmail from you or anyone else on this forum, i hope this answers your question, probably not the answer you were looking for but there you go.

Perhaps when he rips you off you will feel a little differently.  I would prefer to give my support to the decent, honest hardworking Turkish people in Uzumlu who are trying to make an honest living. Guys like him make their lives harder and cause people to mistrust the Turkish people as a whole There are plenty of other nice establishments in Uzumlu but it is your choice.  As I said I never thought it would happen to me - remeber it it could happen to you one day and i am sure you would want support. This is why i was reluctant of posting anything regarding this on this forum for fear of being laughed at by people such as yourself. This establishment has been built partly on stolen money but if you are comfortable eating there then as Ali would say "Enjoy your meals!"

Lets get something straight

I dont know the victim from adam nor the restaurant owner from adam. I go out to Uzumlu for part of the year for a quiet time and the odd meal out. We keep ourselves to ourselves and bother no one. I am not getting involved with the ins and outs between loverats, conmen, or whatever. I know none of the parties involved and take people as I find them. Period
