Elaiine, I am truly dismayed at what has happened to you and hope you get justice.  I can only speak of the Ali I know and will not be dictated to by certain CBF members and it IS preposterous for TWilkins to suggest that anyone eating at his restaurant will also go to the dolphinaruim.  I wish you all the best.

TWilkins didn't say people who eat at the restaurant will go and watch the dolphins and I am sure you know that. His point was that Brits can collectively form an alliance to help dolphins who are suffering but are happy to turn a blind eye to human suffering. It is a valid point. "People like" is not "people who".

Furthermore, nobody has dictated to anyone about where they can or cannot eat, but at least attempted to allow you to know all the facts before deciding. In bring both points together, I wonder if the people happy to eat at this restaurant would be equally happy to eat at a new Uzumlu restaurant if the Russian behind the dolphinarium were to open one.

I said I wouldn't post again in this topic and for that I apologise, but you are taking TWilkins post and turning it into things he quite simply didn't say.

If the Ali you know is honest and an honourable man then he would give me back what he owes me and there would have been no need for me to go to court.  He has a case to answer and that is why it has gone this far and you know that.  This new establishment is operating at a loss - his meals are no more expensive than other establishments in uzumlu for the moment and he appears to be offering more from what has been said.  He can afford to do that when he is risking someone else's money - at the end of the day when my case is finished and he has no money we will know where it went. I will say no more please eat there with a clear conscience and enjoy your meal because after all I'm helping to pay for it.

Think we all need to take a deep breath.

Don't think anyone has specifically said or told anyone not to eat there.  They've just said they wouldn't eat there (including me)and explained the reasons.

Of course we all have choices of what to do etc. but if we don't stand by each other (as yabanci, English, Irish or German) to try and stop this type of thing then it will never change.

Would you be happy knowing that a house you are considering buying has been built on money stolen from somebody elses 'dream home'  The builder decided to take out a loan on their tapu to build?  I think we'd all think 'will he do the same to me/my dream house before I get the tapu?.  To my mind same difference. It was Elaina's money that originally financed Robin Hood Villas etc.

The fact that you're getting a good, cheap meal (at the cost of all the other good restaurants in the village) shouldn't IMO, come into it.  I would rather support the restaurants who I know are hardworking and honest  :).

Rindaloo - your comments about Ali - that's great.  But perhaps he knows you're not a vulnerable, single woman so won't bother to try and con you.

Elaina is not the first, probably won't be the last.  But so long as he has a high public profile sure as eggs are eggs he'll try to hit on suseptible women again and again.
