jenny,
block 1 is the oldest one most rooms have a bath with showers over the bath lower rooms face the fruit trees & gardens with little sun, high floors are sunny all have concrete balconys .

block 2 is the newer one rooms have showers no baths with french type iron balconys best ones face either of the pools

Jenny, we were in Block A (or 1 probably) this year and loved it. Bit better for us than the other block which can be a bit noisy. Though I have to say it's never spoiled our holidays when we've been there.

It was very quiet in the older block and the bathrooms a bit bigger.  We were on the gound floor and got some sun in the afternoon.  That could be an advantage if you are going when it's likely to be very hot.

The staff at the Oykun are lovely and very helpful if you request anything.

Hi Majorca
If you go onto their website http://www.oykunhotel.com and select Wellness centre and spa, it shows you the prices?
Turkish bath, foam massage, sauna and rub, 25 Lira each!
Don't forget to let us know what you think of the Oykun, I'm there in September!  :)

We done the 12 islands boat trip with Carole & tayfun - Great day out. We had the Turkish bath at the Oykun on our first day, I'd say the Turkish bath is probably the same wherever you go, we just like the convenience of a one min walk from our room. Theres a mini market (a bit like Arkwrights) just outside the Oykun very reasonably priced and sell everything!

There us also a larger supermarket approx 5 mins away, Gempa i think? If you stand with your back to Oykun, look right , you will see a mini roundabout, go straight across and supermarket on your left, aquapark on your right

Total cost for both of us on B/B was £546 a real bargain in this fully booked hotel,  with many clients we have met in June over the years again back there which speaks for itself. great owners / staff and so so clean as always

Oykun the owners son is very upset that Thompsons know how popular the hotel is year after year that they have put a massive increase on 2011 prices , So next year, Greedy rip off  Thompsons   will not have so many blocked booked rooms and more will be given to  the Co OP Travel and Jewel in the Crown  holiday companys[  who are there this year ], say only a minor increase of  prices next year   And,, Monarch Holidays who will also have allocated rooms  for the First time next year.

How ever Oykun Hotel Direct  Prices will Not be increased for next year im assured so  Direct book early for next year [ no money to pay till your @ the hotel next year] look out, and book  for early bird discounted flights , count the weeks untill your Calis chill out

So, got some details on how you booked? Telephone? email? address or numbers?
