I take strong exception to that !!!!!.

Are you seriously suggesting that you have to be resident in Calis to be able to give a genuine review. Surely not.

I think so, you have to admire the theories of captainjon, who doesn't give opinions on places unless he has been their more than once. Apart from the ones on here that he has after just one visit :D

Of course residents' opinions hold no more and no less weight than holidaymakers - I'm sure The AA or RAC guides aren't written by people who had to move in to the area first!!! If you had a bad meal during a week's holiday and it is 1 out of 1, tell us all so we can weigh it up. If it was a great meal the same, tell us and we can make an adult evaluation. I am not resident but was, and my opinions are no less valid now I have moved. Same goes for every member.

Yesterday i went to the Nil with the family & had a Banana Split.  i was expecting a small banana with a bit of ice cream, but was pleasantly suprised when a large banan wsplit in 2 with lots of fresh fruit cut into small pieces, surmounted with loads of spray cream finished with drizzled honey.  i am a fan of a good Banana Split & this was better than a lot i have had in UK.

That post has amused me greatly. I have no idea why but at least I'm honest.

Don't think he has been in for a long time so wouldn't be able to offer an opinion.

I didn't see this question till now and I am sure the whole membership is on tender hooks awaiting my opinion. It's a popular place especially with expats which clearly passes BS 3348 (British Standard for the appraisal of restaurants and food outlets using the Banana Split evaluation method 1979).

To be honest I'm less and less of a seafront restaurant fan each time I visit the area. I prefer the fish market and traditional restaurants to liver and mash or steak and chips. I trust you find my opinion of value.
