Anyone know what happens to the people already out here that booked via Kiss and flew on SAGA. Are they able to get back to UK on the flights they booked? I have holiday makers next door and this affects them.

Two nights ago booking TC flights for end of Aug/beginning of Sept directly via their website it was showing flights available at a certain price and we proceeded to book them, twice it came back after giving credit card details in at the final stage 'This flight is no longer available and you have not been charged'  They were available but the price kept increasing, on a third attempt the flight was finally booked at £75 more than first advertised. So my theory is they saw ex amount of persons looking for flights and kept putting the price up - is this legal when you are allowed to go through the whole booking proceedure to be informed at the end when you normally just wait for the confirmation?
Having previously used XL and Kthy who were large companies no company is 100% secure, however, never had trouble claiming money back via the credit credit company within a few days of making a claim.

Denise,

I have had a similar experience recently with British Airways.

In the past, your booking would be "held" for a few minutes to allow you to complete - but now its all "real time". You don't actually have a booking until you have paid - so if others are trying to book at the same time as you its a race to complete the booking.

If someone else completes before you and there are no seats left at that price than you have to start again and will get a higher price. Its standard policy for most airlines to change (increase) prices as availability decreases.

Unfortunately this is bound to happen at times like this when lots of people are trying to rebook flights in the same period and the flights are already fairly full.

So, the message is, have everything ready and do it as fast as you can !

Incidentally, with BA, there were no seats left at all so I had to start again with a different airline !

Ian

Thx Ian thought this was the case, couldn't had typed any faster! had everything there, including credit card, names, DOB's, it was just they said the flight was not available anymore but this wasn't the case - oh well got them in the end at around £165 per person then the next day they were £290 per person and then disappeared so grateful for that - it was to get daughter and grandkids back, school missed by 1 day!
Hope you got sorted

I would'nt be surprised at all if that was correct stoop. The way things are going only the super rich will be able to afford all these new higher prices that will obviously come in when another firm goes bust.

On the subject that when you look online at a certain flight and the price goes up.. Well whenever you do go to those sites it is monitored by them. They log where you want to go and at what time and from what airport and  they log your ip address. If you dont book on your fist visit to that site on and go back to book on the same pc a bit later they know its you from your ip address.Thats when they increase the price. Its an automatic thing they do to get you to pay more.Been happening for a long time now.
