We discovered that the Co-op have some good monthly offers on wine.  They have a 3 for £10.00 at the moment which includes a lovely smooth Rioja and some very good white wines too.

Asda are doing the very nice Faustino VII Rioja @ 3 for a tenner - I think it's nice but also Faustino VII Rioja Blanco at 3 for a tenner too and that for me is a better white than the red is red, if you see what I mean!

This is unbelievably good for £4 a bottle at Asda:

Lindemans Tollana Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

Normally £9.02 which I'm never sure about when they make such claims but it's definitely more of a £9 wine than a £4 wine...

Today we bought (well, Hilary did) some red wine at Sainsbury's. Original prices between £7 and £10; offer price any 4 for £15. Had first bottle tonight and ... very nice.

Brenda convince me to buy 3 for £ 12.00 Jacob's Creek Shiraz at Tesco the other day and the same offer on their Chardonnay today.

She tells that they are both excellent ;)

I hate watching my wife drink wine. After about 3 glasses she remembers that I left the toilet seat up (or simular) about 7 years ago and goes on and on about it.
I can see the horns growing out of her head as she drinks : :)

The Chilean Antares Sauvignon blanc is possibly the best 3 for a tenner white I've found - also, Antares Merlot is a red much better than £3.33 a bottle  :)

Asda, in case you wondered [:o)]

We watched a programme with Tim Lovejoy about 4 years ago where wine was being tried.  They had a Chilean which called Errazuriz which was voted the best and Tim Lovejoy said it was one of the nicest reds he had tasted.  After this we eventually found it in a small shop specialising in wines
and it was really good wine.  Since them we found it is sometimes on sale in Tesco, Asda and Morrison but they never seem to have it for long. It's usually about £6 to £7 per bottle.  If you ever see I would recommend you give it a go.

I am sometimes sceptical about "special offers", "half price" and so on. But I saw the Isla Negra Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva, Chile 2010 (red)that we have been buying at Morrisons' for £4.50 on sale in Tesco for £8.99. But even better value currently is the French Le Petiole (Ventoux Rouge) half price at £4.99 - very nice.
