I wonder if the BBC & ITV news folk, and the politicians really do think that the whole country will have received such a huge lift from this wonderful news. That George Alligator on BBC six o'clock news beaming like a proud father in Camp Bastion, telling British soldiers stationed there that they must be thrilled by the news.
I'm sure that without the cameras in their faces, they couldn't really give a toss, as I couldn't. Good luck to them both, they seem nice enough people but I am far from "thrilled" or "absolutely delighted". I did not feel a huge lift when I heard the news, in fact my spirits remained entirely unlifted and unchanged. I am more thrilled to see a squirrel out of the window to be honest
