Another burglary!
« on: July 22, 2011, 16:03:00 PM »
So sad to have to post this but want everyone to know.
My husbands wallet was on top of the dressing table and the bedroom window was open, so was the bedroom door. We were all having a late breakfast on the balcony and afterwards  my husband went to get his wallet and it had gone!
This only happened today so please be extra careful.
My nephew went for a quick look around our neighbourhood and found another wallet tossed over a wall, it still had money in so we have handed it to the police.
Very sad indeed but no one was hurt so we will continue with our holiday a little poorer and count ourselves lucky that nothing else was taken.:(

HOpe you have reported this to the Police? If you have and get a report number you will be able to claim on your Insurance.

Yes we have reported it but our insurance company want exchange receipts and bank receipts but the exchange receipts were in the wallet and we paid cash for our lira anyway! Don't Fancy our chances of making a successful claim. :-\

How cheeky is that - to come into your home and rob you when you are actually still there too!
Glad i have two dogs - no one gets near my place without us knowing and the locals are scared stiff of my rather large golden lab!!

Well if your nephew found a wallet full of cash, yours must be a couple of gardens away  :)

Sorry to hear of your theft - must be awful [:(!]

Why would someone go to the length of stealing a wallet, and then toss it over a hedge with the money still there? What were they looking for?

Obviously the nephew and the OPs are a not suspects.

"My nephew went for a quick look around our neighbourhood and found another wallet tossed over a wall, it still had money in so we have handed it to the police"

Oh excuse me, are only Turks suspect here. I mean, who would know that all this stuff was insured?? How could the average "Turkish" thief know the pin codes for the cards and leave the cash??? - crap!!

"Why would someone go to the length of stealing a wallet, and then toss it over a hedge with the money still there?
 What were they looking for?
" NO ANSWER TO THAT WAS THERE??

So, there was a wallet found with only cash in it, nothing else to identify it. Obviously it was not the OP's as he would have said, wouldn't he?? Or is this a scam they want qualified by CBFT?

Question - Were all receipts in the wallet??
Answer - "Yes we have reported it but our insurance company want exchange receipts and bank receipts but the exchange receipts were in the wallet and we paid cash for our lira anyway!"

Oh Perlease!!! Insurance costs us a lot, these people will cost us more. It is plainly obvious that they are using this forum to enhance their claim. If you believe them well, you had better these and others are obviously going to benefit from these illegal claims.
