Found out today that my £584 refund from my Nationwide credit card was repaid on 29th of August. It stayed as a credit in my credit card account whilst I was expecting it to be repaid into my Flex debit account which was used to pay off my credit card account in the 1st place  8)

We had two claims each for a couple, one of whom is still in UK we are out here, had a letter saying the UK based couple's one is on its way in 14 days but the money is in the account today. As for the other claim, we can't tell as we are out here, looks as though it is working though. The claims were both for debit card payments.

Got the ATOL claim in in good time via the travel agents - flightline who were very helpful - but since passing to ATOL or whoever ..zilch!

Other flights were with credit card booking direct, and that was paid back into the CC account with a minimum of fuss after about 5 weeks.

I booked flights through Aegean on my Nationwide credit card and used the letter you can download from the internet to claim the money back. The flights were refunded before I came out to Calis in September. I also included a claim for consequential expenses in the letter which basically was the additional cost of rebooking the flights with a different company. On my return from Calis I had a letter from Nationwide offering a settlement for this claim which was met in full.
Didn't expect this as I had read other people had tried and were told you couldn't do this even though I had read on the Financial Ombudsman site that you could claim.
Worth bearing in mind if another airline goes bust.

our credit card booked flights were quickly processed by barclaycard.

also had a set of flights booked through travelrepublic, which has been sent down the ATOL/CAA claim route.
travelrepublic completed their bit and sent onto the ATOL/CAA who acknowledged around 4 weeks ago, not heard anything since.

received atol confirmation yesterday that they are dealing with all claims, but have large backlog. Im sure ATOL cannot but fail to pay out, it just may be a long wait!!

got our last outstanding refund today (an ATOL / CAA one).
had a letter from Huntswood yesterday and in our account today.

this was an agent booked flight, so not through the credit card refund route.
about 9 weeks to resolve from submission.

I got my money back through the visa debit chargeback scheme with HSBC Bank so was very lucky as didn't think I would stand a chance of getting anything back as paid by debit card.
