Amazing - what a huge help to everyone. As I work with tourists I am often asked where  places that have been recommended to them are and I often do not know the answer (I am still finding my way around all the restaurants in Calis!). I can now print this off and use it. What a fab idea of yours and what a HUGE help. Thank you SOOOOOO much.

Sorry H just had another look at Google earth - if you click on the "VIEW ON GOOGLE MAPS" icon at the top (next tothe Email and print icons) this then gives an option of supplying a link with the "CHAIN" icon - see if that works for you.

Think I'll have to give up on the Googles Maps. From what I can gather the only way to do it is to join the Google Community.

If anybody knows otherwise, please let me know.

I think it maybe possible to email the map so if anyone wants to try that, again please let me know.

Google maps is easy - just time consuming - IMO google earth is OK for personal use.

I agree Jim - adding icons in Google Earth is easy and I have done that.

It's being able to let others see the icons I have added that's the problem.

I'v been fiddling about with maps, largely unsuccessfully due to scaling problems, but I'm going to post them anyway.

That will mark the end of the exercise - for now anyway.
