Have met the Queen loads of times, Prince Philip, Charles, Andrew and Princess Anne and Margaret.
Done gigs with Status Quo, Bonnie Tyler,Tina Turner and Vera Lynn.
Also had a few drinks with George Best and Alan Ball. Also met Frank Carson on a gig in Cyprus once too and had a few drinks too.

We spent some time together and met up again on the coast later in our holiday. A fascinating, charming man.

I met Acker Bilk in Cliftonville Near Broadstairs I was 8 years old but he was my mums favourite!! I was living in a residential home miles away from my family so it was for me a day to remember!  Meeting my mums fav person
Couldnt wait to write to tell her!! She would have been 90 on Thursday but died this year Exactly at the time Wills and Kate were saying their vows

Now she could have told a tale or 2 about being in service , the war etc!!!

I've sung in front of 75,000 people in the Millennium Stadium, with The Stereophonics, Shirley Bassey, Bryn Terfel and Michael Ball !

Not an untruth, but there was 500 other men in the massed male choirs at the Rugby World Cup Final 1999 !!  ;)

I was in the Hovis Silver Jubilee advert in the '70's. Was also the youngest person to climb Mount Kilimanjo at the age of 11 (I lived in Dar Es Salaam at the time). Lots of younger kids have been up since.

I was once desperately trying hard to get served in a Manchester bar when I noticed either side of me was David Beckham and Ryan Giggs. 1996 I think it was and both stopped to have a chat afterwards. David did 375 "you knows" during that conversation but giggsy was great fun.

I know Des Walker, Danny Thomas and Micky Gynn and see them from time to time.

But above all.....

I met Scunner in Josephs this year!
