Exactly. Mozzie heaven unless they are spraying plenty of chemicals into it.

Exactly. Mozzie heaven unless they are spraying plenty of chemicals into it.

Actually they don't need to put chemicals in it - just make sure the water is moving and filtered by installing a pump system. They could also make a very good feature of it with fountains if they wished.

Get the water moving and filtered and the mozzies won't like it. They prefer stagnant water which is what it is at present (unless they have done something already).

Not sure but it that water fresh or salt water? If it's fresh then they could also add some ornamental fish which will eat the mozzies and their eggs.

Its green stagnant  sea water. Doubt that you could see fish in it and doubt very much if there will be fountains. It has all been built on stilts for when Winter comes and the area floods.

Last time we passed it was quite clear and did have fish in it. If it's salt water I'm not sure the mozzies over in Turkey will bread in it as there are only certain types that can bread in salt water.

Either way - if they get it moving they will not lay their eggs. Surely that's not too difficult bearing in mind how much it must have cost to build the place.

Review from booking.com:

http://www.booking.com/hotel/tr/jiva-beach-resort.en.html

It is definitely not a 5 star hotel. It pretends to be but it is far from it. Reality does not match renderings published in booking.com It is still under construction. Many services luck in the rooms. Hotel is located in an undelveloped area not nice. It is not secure cause anybody can access the hotel from the main road. No security personnel. Staff hardly speaks english. Only turkish and russian guests. It has no private beach as published and the beach is not beauty at all. Average pebbles beach with no charm at all. Breakfast is poor. Lunch and dinner food is average. Pool is small and crowded. Try any other hotel if you have the chance.

Today they,a number of fully clothed Turkish ladies, are adding more sand on top of the pebble beach around the sun beds, the men are busy watching and driving the dumper trucks!even as the visitors are under the parasols on the sunbeds, planning!!!!!!
They have also put a number of no parking signs in the road between the complex wall and the beach, isn't this a public road?
Where will the weekend beach Bar-B-Q er families park  ?

They will just go somewhere else I guess. Shame it's come to this - 5 star AI is not good for the local businesses or the local families who enjoy the beach and their barbecues.

Checked price on Booking.com and one week in Sept was over £1000pp

We went inside and had a nose around, there was a security guard but he took no notice of us. I for one wouldn't stay there, the lagoon looked filthy and you could see the mossies just waiting for their dinner. The sound of the frogs would drive me around the bend. The whole place just looks unfinished they should have put the opening back until everything was right. I'm sure most of those staying there won't be back.

Frogs suggest it's fresh water then and not salt water.
