because Guinness is way much better then crappy efes. Who is to say you have to eat drink the local made stuff? If I fancied a curry tonight, does that mean I should move to India??? What should I do about my Toyota? exchange for a turkish car (currently none being made)?

One of my best ever jobs was installing a new computer mainframe at the Guiness brewery in Dublin. Three weeks of free Guinness - heaven!

I remember enjoying several pints of it in Durban and then a few weeks later sending back a terrible pint in a pub in Manchester. The bloke behind the bar explained that "Guinness doesn't travel well" (his exact words). When I told him that just a short time ago I had been drinking it in Durban and it was perfect his explanation was that it must have been sent from the depot in Newcastle. I smiled politely and exchanged it for lager. :)

think they should put a stop to Fox Hunting in Ireland!

(talking of Guinness! which I love with a nice salmon fresh from the Shannon with a good Irish potato in Brogans Bar in Ennis -- but in Turkey I agree-- efes with a kebab and immam bayaldi)
