I should also mention that if you are donating to buy a specific item then please drop me a PM telling me which one it is - and also if you prefer to be anonymous, which is of course your right. Consider not being anonymous though - you will be making a difference and should take the glory for your efforts  8)

For those that choose to purchase a specific item on the list, we could then arrange to take a photograph of the item(s) and post this on the forum once it is purchased so that you can see what you have bought for the school :)

It would make good reading if anyone is having a fund raising event in England. Say a bring and buy sale or a coffee morning or such like. We would like to pinch some of your money raising ideas for out here. Please let us know if you are planning anything.

Keith, When you use the donate link from the site I did not see the gift aid bit, Does paypal see a donate as gift aid automatically?
Also it a pity you cant get the 28p in the pound back off HMRC as its going to a charity like in the UK. It might be worth an ask if you rub shoulders with George Osbourne in the pub.

The local libraries are having Knit and Natter afternoons to raise funds where they charge a small amount and provide a cup of tea and a biscuit. They have proved very popular and raised quite a lot of funds.

Upsetting really....but then we have seen the school and the children in it. The conditions they are trying to learn is in unbelievable. This school would just not exist in England in Then I understand that money is a problem in these days.

I have retrieved two black bags full of stuff puzzles games and stuff. We have a great catolouge at work that does supplies quite cheaply for schools, for example 144 lead pencils around £3.50 and if my memory serves me right I think a big box of coloured pencils (mixed colours)with loads in is around £6 I will ask next week when we start ordering again in April when the new budgets are allocated can I order some if I give the money, I dont see why it should be a problem if I explain what I want them for :)
