TC seemed to have the monopoly at one time but now Jet2 seem to have more flights but their luggage prices are expensive. Last week I saw a TC flight on 22 & 29 July Dalaman to East Midlands for £38 inc taxes but not luggage. Two days later on Skyscanner the price was OVER £900, surely not correct. I checked again and yes that was the price.  ALL TC flights are very expensive this year and weighing hand luggage prior to boarding is a disgrace.

I agree with everything said, however tell me which airline flies direct to Dalaman or Antalya from Leeds or Manchester(two rather large cities!!)after November.Certainly not the budget airlines so it
becomes hobsons choice, and should T.C go to the wall then those of us who like to visit out of season will be dissapointed. As will the
Fethiye economy.

Not sure this correct Mr Torres! - just been on their site and you can still book one case for one person and none for the other. Just ignore the bundle offer at the top and click 'additional baggage' You can then choose who wants 20k, 25k or 30k. No need for both passengers to take baggage if they don't want to.

I got right through to the payment page and still only one bag booked for one person. 2nd adult was cabin baggage only.

The bundle is good value however if you want to book bags and seats for all those travelling. Works out a bit cheaper I think.

I like TC for what they have offered me in the past so can only comment on personal experience. Cheap flights, simple as that. If you want a "Rolls Royce" flight experience then use someone else, TC get me from A2B in reasonable comfort & safety, at the end of the day it's only 4 hours which really isn't worth fretting about, is it?

Here Here,we always choose the over night flights ,very cheap, very quiet & easier to sneak the vodka into their coke!!!!!!!
Mind you we'd stand up all the way just to get there.

I think it is  :)

Charging for anything they can, dreaming up new ways to fleece us, using the unsociable redeye slots (i.e. the cheapest), and playing games when it comes to pricing. For your information Mr S'cabby, TC are NOT a low cost carrier - all the above things I would expect and accept from Ryanair but Thomas Cook is not low cost, as many people looking at their prices for this season will know. In fact, they can be one of the most expensive available, but still cheap quality service, poorly trained staff who never shut up from take off to landing and awful flight times.

It's all well and good people saying they hope they don't go bust as they are the only airline to fly to Dalaman from their local airport but that is no recommendation. If grass was the only foodstuff on the planet we'd all be fighting for a tuft  ;) Let Thomas Cook go pop, it means the demand wasn't actually there or that someone else will step in and take their slots - and ABTC is a great alternative to TC. I would use them only if there was no alternative and due to the fact I'll happily drive to Manchester, Newcastle or use any of my local airports, I can normally find another way.

But the original post was totally wrong! Also the price  I was quoted above is just about the same cost as the monarch ones we have booked. Similar times as well.  Ok Monarch should be better but I have never really had a problem with FTC. In the past.

Me neither Stu....in fact i  have had some very good TC flights....I have to say that Monarch are my favourites though...I just think they are  head and shoulders above the others.......I agree with you about the original post...??!
