When will they learn!! Carole and Guven are the lovliest couple , they always make you welcome. Does the council not realise how they have improved that end of the beach. I wonder what would happen if you took you own sun lounger and put it on the beach by Guvens. I am at Seaside, pay my dues to the council, might give it a try.Interesting to see if they go to Sunset! Don't think so. Difference???

Sorry I am so furious, don't they realise Carole and Guven may attract less customers (probably stay by the pool), so therefore less takings, less money for the tax or council. I wonder what they are doing about the Surf Cafe? Is it a different council?

The point is, if the local councils looked after the beach there would have been no need for the bars to do any improvements to it. Now they see an opportunity to make more money they take over.

Just back fro Guven's.
No one using the council beds but several using mats provided by Guven.
I have my doubts about how long and how successful the boycott will be but
I was pleasantly surprised at the solidarity on show today.

Ok I would like to qualify a few things here. I have not been on the forum for a while and I think I should correct a few things. It is not the council who have taken the beach it's the Government, who nobody can oppose. Guven's Restaurant is operating as normal and is providing mattresses or cushions and umbrellas to their customers as normal. If customers want a bed they have to pay for it. We will always do our utmost to make your experience a great one and that will not stop. We do not want any problems with the Government - just look at the  Yakamos and bogazici. Spouting got them demolished ! Please STOP!!!

Spouting? People in this topic weren't "spouting", they were supporting you shoulder to shoulder. You have just thrown their solidarity straight back in their face. Great post Carole.

Just asking.
