Doubt if they will move. They tried larger premises on the front when it was named The Berk, Better to have a small place always full than a large place half empty. He also like to give the personal r
touch which would be lost if he moved again.

How did we get to them moving? Thats how rumours start methinks. I think you Scunner, may have to accept some responsibility for it always being busy. To be honest, we've by passed it for the last 3 years and only tried it for the first time in September this year! And we tried it because of the good reviews bossman has been giving it on the forum. So it's not a wee secret anymore thankfully, or we'd have missed out on a couple of smashing meals.

When it was the Berk, on the prom, Ahmed was employed as the "front man", it was not his establishment. The Meeting Point is his first solo ventute.

Correct Ron but he moved from Nil to the Berk before getting the meeting point. In fact when he started at the Meeting Point he had Berk crockery because, at the same time, Berk became Bostans.

The Berk belonged to Ahmed and his brother did the cooking there as well. He rented the Berk.  As someone said he was frontman and head waiter at The Nil Bar. He was the first waiter we ever met here and we have been friends ever since. He is a truly lovely bloke...

If he rented Berk how could it belong to him? It belonged to Berk Hotel.

Sitting here in cold dreary, rainy London reading this and wishing I could turn the clock back to July/August and take a nice stroll to Meeting Point for a lovely meal and a chat with wonderful people and have that breakfast again before departing for the airport!  :( Roll on next July and please please please let it be as good 2013   :)
