Monarch check-in
« on: August 17, 2012, 12:05:03 PM »
Hi,

I have just seen that we can check-in up to 18 days in advance of our flight. Does this mean we can also check in our return flight at the same time - like Ryanair?

I'm hoping - if I leave it until a few days before - that I can do this and print both outward and inward boarding passes at the same time. Not sure if there is any advantage in this at Dalaman though. Is there?

Thanks in advance

  :)

no advantage at Dalaman, Rachael had all her boarding passes to hand only to be told "theres a queue" by most people who also had checked in online

I would expect to queue anyway Ron because we will have cases to check-in. Having a boarding pass doesn't get around that unfortunately.

I think I will wait a while and see if I can print both legs before we go. At least I'll have the boarding pass ready when we eventually get to the front of the queue  :)

Cheers

Stoop . we are book with Monarch , my bro-in-law is doing all the print offs for us, but cant print our return one , because we are going for 16 days, so he will try on the morning we go, which is Sunday, I was just wondering what would you do if you were going for 3 weeks, or more, would we have to get it done over there,

You can just check n at the airport I guess. Not sure though. You would need to check that.

The advance check-in is not on for us as we always take 3 weeks so the 18 days prevents us. However we do prebook our seat for the return trip. The advance check-in only works in the UK because of the "Express Baggage Drop".

They have an 'express baggage drop' in Manchester? No need to queue with those who have not printed boarding passes then?

Good news to me that.

I'll print off the home journey as well. It will save some time at the counter I guess.

Cheers for the info  :)

Yeah, it's well worth it at Manchester because there is no specific Dalaman check in as it is shared with all Monarch's ZB flights which are numerous. The opposite applies at Dalaman where there is a specific Monarch Manchestwer check in and only few other ZB flights.

The last time I checked in with Monarch at Manchester the lady asked "do you smoke?", I replied that I did. "Well don't go through security yet, your flight is delayed for six hours".

Bad delay, good advice  :)

Theres no point checking in online unless you want to pay the 6Euro charge to book a seat
