hi james
we to are are moveing to turkey for that very reason, we only have a small handfull of turkish friends but they will do anything for you,
we have brought our villa out off the main hoilday resort, as we wish to mix with the turkish locals. we went out just a few weeks ago to prepare our new home for our arival and the neighbours were very friendly.
my friends say to me why turkey. i just reply you have to go and see for yourselves, you will never meet such lovely people. And to country is so beautiful.
thing is in the uk we tend to live our lives for nice cars, homes, hoildays, thats the rat race we live in. not spending time with family and friends. and not realy looking at the important things in life.
in turkey
it does not matter what car you drive, or if you have a gucci watch or if you hoilday in the carabian.or if mrs jones down the road has got of villa 3 times the size of yours.
they have nothing some of them but they live life to the full family being formost. sometimes you see a whole family on a motor bike, or just going through the bins for plasic bottels to make a liveing. or a old man sitting outside a shop will hand you a turkish tea if you pass by, or brings you fresh fruit in the morrning, but askes for nothing.
tell me were did we all go wrong.?
I hope your new life in turkey goes well and i hope to pass by one day and pop in for a drink. and toast your future and others
take care
