Ytokgaz I just felt cross because if I were not
happily married and am of a certain age I would not want to be lumped in to that category purely because I am British and slightly shall we say mature... I am sure it is not just Turkey it happens in, i watched a programme once where 60 /70 year old woman were giving all their hard earnt savings etc to young Jamacian men indeed one woman had been ripped off once and still continued to holiday there and was tackled up with another young Jamacian man so she obvioulsy did not learn a lesson from her first disaster...
The ones that do it reapetedly deserve all they get.... Some of the stories I have heard whilst in Turkey are just unbelievable and I listen and cringe and do think how can you be so stupid, My son and I once shared a transfer to Dalaman with a woman who had become newly engaged to a young Turkish man after knowing him for just six weeks no looker (not being rude just honest) and was telling me how she was going back soon to probably marry him, she was buying an apartment and putting it in his name only as he had told her it would save her around £3000 as he was Turkish, i said to her dont put the house in his name spend the extra £3000 if need be to have it in your name, on arrival at Dalaman I had a quick cig she phoned him to say something about she had left some stuff where they had been staying and not to chuck it away, he could obviously not speak any English because she then said put so and so on the phone who would obviously be ble to understand her anyway the conversation ended with her saying tell so and so (bf) i will do the bank transfer as soon as I am back in Uk tomorrow it was honestly cringeworthy and my then 17 year old son even commeneted on the conversation and said is she mad!!!
some do deserve it as I just cant believe women can be so stupid, on the other hand as someone else said if you are that lonley and also maybe vunerable then I suppose it would probably be very easy to get sucked in by the charm etc, indeed there are some very good looking men in Turkey and I will be honest I myself had a "crush" on someone for some time that was all it was a "crush" I could not believe someone could be that good looking and also the personality to go with it
I have enough sense and brains to realise any one to pursue me would be for money only and there s no way I would jepardise my son's future inheritance etc, the woman in the thread did a really stupid thing but i did find myself feeling a bit sorry for her because her family had disowned her she really did end up being screwed in more ways then one
