Well I can definitely say I was not around when Thatcher was PM, but my parents were not fans of hers living in Scotland throughout some of her time in office. Having also read about the decisions she made, I can say I most likely would not have been a fan either.. to be honest as a student right now with Cameron in charge, no tears will be shed when he finally decides to join satan full-time. Sums up my opinion of the tories really.
Back on topic though, while women are still struggling for the last bits of equality in the working environment, Thatcher was the first female Prime Minister a victory for women and she must of had some fierce level of determination and ambition to make it happen. That is something I can admire, though that's the only thing.
Some of the things I've seen on facebook are a bit too much in my opinion but can also understand that she was loathed by so many and lives were ruined and dramatically changed. My way of seeing things at the moment is that she was a mother and there are some grieving for her tonight.
Just my attempt at being diplomatic in this situation, as I can't really take a side having not been directly affected by her time as PM unlike others who have.
