Realised that, but the reality is that, if it's that bad, we'll probably avoid as much of it as we can  but then the bars/shops down that stretch miss out on the tourists and their cash!   :

Tell me about it, we recently moved to a place just off BMB, first off we delayed moving stuff because of the drain laying along BMB, we had no sooner moved than Aydem dug up our street to lay cables.

I thought the idea of storm drains was to have them in the gutters, not in the pavements which are higher than the roads and then to leave them below the pavement level just for good measure. At the moment they are neither use nor ornament. Talk about working a*se about face, you couldn't make it up.

Bad for tourism? YOU BET, if it was my first visit I wouldn't be back in a hurry. Wouldn't mind but they've had all winter to do this work and they start in March !!!

You want to try driving down there..  Dangerous or what!!!   its quite imossible to drive down the righ side of the road and if you drive down the middle to avoid the lumps and bumps.. You are in danger of going down hug craters in the road.. It must be a nightmare for the dolmus drivers...

I note a lady on T.A. who has been on CBF read about the road works and is going to be staying at Violet Apartments and is now worried that  she will not be able to get her husband out on his wheelchair, she has no idea where Violet Apartments are, but after reading the news about the roadworks here on CBF has gone to T.A. to ask has anyone any idea if she will be able to get out of Violet
