What a mess...

When we were there it was a mess but manageable.  It'll be a bit awkward with cases but pick your way carefully across and you'll get there.  Just don't travel in high heels!!      The dolmus and taxis seemed to be managing perfectly well to be honest.  Our fabulous management company are based down there and we drove up it often to see them.  It can be done.  Fingers crossed they'll finish it while you're there.

The dolmus I use bluwise is the huzerevi one, which goes over the upside down bridge as we still call it, and turns off at aydin pide down passed café pazar and then off into fethiye. now as I think you are asking, the dolmus,s fethiye to calis will come down the BMB then turn of the same but then go round the back streets to come out somewhere as near as possible to the dolphin roundabout, but please don't ask me where, as i wont entertain the place the state its in, but that of course is my choice. not much help I know but good luck.

Well thanks both for the info anyway - looks like our luxury of getting on/off the Dolmus right outside the gate will be missed this time.  Can't believe how long this is taking.

I reckon we've got at least another 2 / 3 weeks on the main BMB. it looks like the cycle lane will be on the left hand side as you approach the sea. Then the side roads need sorting, but god knows how long that will take. By the way, if you thought the dust was bad before, you want to see it now they've spread the fine soft sand to lay the block paving on, this is like talcum powder, smooths out the bumps and potholes and so car drivers now think it's good to travel at 50mph over this.

Ha ha -  I was just saying to my OH, what the heck, we'll be on hols and it will be fine.  It's a minor inconvenience for us but must be awful for those of you living there or spending longer periods.  It's the timing I don't understand.  It could have been done and dusted (no pun intended) weeks ago! I will definitely need more Beers and Gin to quench my thirst

walking anywhere is a pain, don't plan on going out in your best strappy sandals, but the sun is still shining, and I'm still glad to be here  :-)
