I dont understand why they don't actually finish a section before closing more of BM off?  It's appears closed off from Dolphin roundabout to Asparva now where they have started digging up the next bit.

Yep all dug now from Aspava to Dugus market and as I write this they have just started breaking the road on the last bit up to Gunlukbasi road. Dolmus Are going down every back road to get around but life goes on and transformation continues. Can't wait to see it all finished, have heard muttering  around town that there is a deadline of 15th July for it all to be done and at the rate their doing it they may just make it. We shall see.

At least traffic is still moving, & life/business carrying on as usual. One inch of snow here in Hampshire during Winter, & the whole bloody county comes to a :( grinding halt!! The Turks are great at laying roadways,  :D just not so good at the maintenance of same !  >:(

The Turks are great at laying roadways

It's the practice they get, reinstating them every 12 months after they've been washed away.

No doubt the Belediyesi will pay to replace the suspension on all dolmuses affected ?
(On the plus side, we had some useful detours around the backstreets of Calis whilst there   ;) )

Just wish they'd get round to doing the road from Angel Bar down to Surf Cafe - it used to have humps at least to slow down the cars. Now its just a dust bowl. But at least we now have pavements on both sides so I've been told. As soon as anyone hears of this road section being resurfaced do post this info and we'll celebrate with a BBQ and undusty swim when we come out in September.
