We bought one of those Detan Eczacibasi battery operated things, put it on in the house for the first time last night and Chris got bit 4 times, not sure if you should place it well away from where you are sat?

Place it high up and opposite the outside door or window that you normally have open, you might find it draws the mosses away from you.

We noticed in Calis - they started late this year and are not spraying anything like as frequently - probably council cut backs to pay for more road works   ;)      ;)

Take an empty 2 ltr bottle and cut in two, so that you can invert the neck part of the bottle into the
bottom part of the bottle which will contain the liquid mix..

Have you noticed the Mosquitos are already out! Here is a homemade trap to help keep you and the kiddos from being a blood donor!!!

HOMEMADE MOSQUITO TRAP:
Items needed:
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 gram of yeast
1 2-liter bottle

HOW:
1. Cut the plastic bottle in half.
2. Mix brown sugar with hot water. Let cool. When cold, pour in the bottom half of the bottle.
3. Add the yeast. No need to mix. It creates carbon dioxide, which attracts mosquitoes.
4. Place the funnel part, upside down, into the other half of the bottle, taping them together if desired.
5. Wrap the bottle with something black, leaving the top uncovered, and place it outside in an area away from your normal gathering area. (Mosquitoes are also drawn to the color black.)

Change the solution every 2 weeks for continuous control.

I either don't get bitten or the bites are that small they don't bother me.
When there the other week I got some really big bites. One swelled my knee quite badly and made it hurt when I walked. all the fluid started to ooze out over a few days. I don't know why I had such a problem this time?

I think it's because other things rather than mozzie are biting.  I had some bad bites a couple of weeks ago that where not mozzie bites.  Had to take antibiotics.

One of the best things I found to keep those pesky things at bay is my blue light zapper which I bought from a shop on the main top rd. Place it  10ft away from where you sit and it zaps away all night.. ;D ;D
