More drama with my Turkish ex!
« on: June 23, 2013, 19:36:03 PM »
Well a year down the line and things were starting to look bright and bad memories starting to fade! Until Thursday of last week when I received a letter from HMRC saying that they were investigating me for fraud, apparently they think that my ex (who walked out on me and our kids last year after 8 years together and returned to Turkey) is still living with us and why was I claiming a single persons Working Tax Credit, eventually after a long conversation with HMRC they have advised me that they work closely with a credit reference agency, and guess what he's been up to?............... He has brought himself a very expensive mobile phone (using my address in the UK) and has acquired two lots of credit, he has done all of this whilst living in Turkey, I have absolutely no idea how, luckily the debt isn't registered on addresses anymore its in his name, how the hell has he done this?  Like he hasn't caused us enough grief!  Please people, if any of your friends get involved with a Ibrahim (Ibo) Kucuk, get them to run for the hills, he's absolute scum!!!!!

Its awful Janice what you have been thru and still going thru.  For some people, money is God, where there's a will there's a a way.  If they cant afford it they steal it, one way or another.  Glad to hear that thinks are brighter for you minus this blip. This will all make you a stronger person and your girls will have a Mum to be proud of.  Saw the pics the other day of our 25th wedding anniversary and the lovely cake you made us(at very short notice!!) with a map of Turkey and a bumble bee etc on it.  Good luck for all your futures xx

Someone must have been helping him surely - the mobile phone company would have delivered to a UK address, I can't see them sending a phone to Turkey. Maybe that person should be pursued for the money!

Could have had help from the delivery guy.  I work in the fraud industry and this kind of thing is all too common.

But as Keith said, there must have been someone here to deliver it to in the first place, I cant see a delivery driver posting it to Turkey for him, does anyone know who I should tell about this, is there anyone that can stop him from doing this?

Report to the UK police and the phone company.

It may also be prudent to keep an eye on your credit report for a few months.
