It is quite obvious, when you do the fundraising or collect the donations, that the great efforts made are nearly always by the same handful of members here. Those individuals are an amazing group of people and God only knows how many little lives they have directly and positively touched.
But I am also the person who says that CBF is not the place to 'hound' people to donate/play and they will, or they won't. It used to irritate me greatly to see someone who maybe sold a car on here then read the topic about Bozalan School and then just move on to the next topic without even thinking that maybe they could give something back, for the help and enjoyment they may get from both/either this forum and/or Turkey itself.
Later I learned that people who don't donate here may not be a bunch of stone hearted meanies (

) - and I learned that when I went into our local Tesco and had a tin rattled in my face and an attempt was made, using the weapon that is words, to almost embarrass me into putting money in. I could have got embarrassed, but then I thought that I do my bit for charity, just not theirs.
Whilst I would love members who have benefited from our advice, information, laughs and tales on CBF to show any appreciation for our efforts by slinging a fiver in the charity pot once in a while, it will never be required or expected on Calis Beach Forum. Not least because people who didn't may well have their own charity choices to support.
The amount we/3c/Highlander/Animal Aid/Embrace etc. have helped raise for local causes over the years is astonishing, anyone who helped with that can see the results, be it a tagged and neutered dog or a warm jumper for a little lad up in the cold winter mountains, and be exceptionally proud. I am.
